  Is that Moses and Aaron a film of the Schoenberg opera?

    It is, Mitchell, and it is excellent! It’s hard to find but I picked up a copy at Harold Washington Library. BTW, I really hope you can make it to the SHERLOCK HOLMES screening I’m hosting on the 19th. It is going to be the film event of the year!

  Wow. That is one of the most difficult operas of all and I think it needs to be ‘seen’ and not just heard. I will check it out once you bring it back!

    Thanks, Mitchell! Hope to see you there. You should see some of Straub/Huillet’s other films as well. I’m a huge fan of THE CHRONICLE OF ANNA MAGDALENA BACH.

  Love Dersu Uzala. It’s my favourite Kurosawa (noting I have huge, huge gaps in his filmography).
