  I really wanted to like “Phil Spector” more, but it fell short. Like I told you in person, I wanted it to be like, “Behind the Candelabra” but it lacked that sort of pizzazz.

  I want to see Spector too, is that the one with Pacino in it??

    That is the one with Pacino. Unfortunately, I have to agree with Jill’s assessment: it was pretty silly.

      One to miss then. No insight into his career at all?

      Zero insight into his career and zero insight into him as a man! The film only focuses on his murder trial and the main character is really his defense attorney. I love Al Pacino, Helen Mirren and Phil Spector but this was a misfire. The problem, I think, is with writer/director David Mamet.
