Great video:) I love it that James Gray loves Chicago:) I also love the talk about his family life concerning his decision to go into filmmaking and his father’s view that the only to know If it is any good is by watching Siskel and Ebert. Though Siskel liked “Little Odessa” Ebert gave it the thumbs down. Although I think James Gray will be flattered to know that Ebert has given positive notices to his last three films (The Yards, We Own the Night, and Two Lovers). He gave that last one 3.5 out of 4.

I love that he compared the Chicago Theater to Versailles. It’s also interesting that he agrees with Ebert’s Little Odessa review in hindsight.
My top 5 James Gray films:
5. Little Odessa
4. The Yards
3. We Own the Night
2. Two Lovers
1. The Immigrant
