Holy Motors just arrived in the queue. Yes please! Last two: “Olympus Has Fallen” and “White House Down”, which contained identical plots and were both pretty enjoyable.

Holy Motors was incredible but I can’t piece it all together. The scene with Eva Mendes (that is her name?) was great. “Beauty … Beauty … Beauty!” I loved the one right before as well with the ninja/sexual embrace. I also weirdly liked the one where he picks up his daughter from the party – thought that was touching. I tried to think about it like: this guy is tasked with fulfilling roles that are necessary, and sometimes we even loathe the role. That scene picking up his daughter from the party – was it even grotesquely artistic? It seemed plain and sad – but necessary to see. Anyway that one viewing kind of scratched the surface. That was tiring to watch. Man, wish I had seen this in the theater though …
