How’s Room 237,Mike? I’ve just listed it as one of my 9 most wanted films.

Room 237 was really disappointing. I thought I was going to learn something about The Shining but the interview subjects aren’t film critics, they’re conspiracy theorists who all read way too much into Kubrick’s film. The overall tone of Room 237 is to laugh at them. Out of the 15 films I saw at the Chicago International Film Festival, it was the only one that I didn’t like. I’ll have my CIFF “report card” posted here on Friday.

I always enjoy trying to figure out which films you are viewing with a class and which are recreational. I am figuring Double Indemnity was for a class but The River was for pleasure?

You are correct, sir! Double Indemnity was for class (the subject was film noir). The River was the new restored version on Blu-ray, which I purchased. Ravenous and Pursued were also screened for class. Silent Hill was a film my wife chose and the rest were movies I saw at the Chicago International Film Festival.
