    Another wild and woolly list, Omar! I’m a big fan of Black Christmas, which (in spite of a certain cult following) I still don’t think has received the credit it’s due for being the massively influential, prototypical holiday-themed slasher movie that it is. Halloween, for instance, would be unthinkable without it.

    The new Monte Hellman is great – easily my favorite American film I’ve seen all year. I’m pleased to tell you I will be interviewing him for this very blog in the near future.

    Totally agree about Black Christmas. It’s still pretty unsettling today and almost bloodless. Really! I’ll be looking out for that interview.
