On March 12, I will introduce a midnight screening of Dorothy Arzner’s Dance, Girl, Dance as part of the Facets Night School series “Heroine Addicts” (movies about female protagonists, get it?). Admission is FREE for Facets members and only $5 for non-members. Any of my students who attend any of the screenings (not just the one I’m presenting) can receive extra credit for class; refer to the extra credit page of your course website for more details.
Look here for a detailed Facets Night School Preview.
Also, my short film At Last, Okemah! will be screening twice this month at the 33rd annual Big Muddy Film Festival in Carbondale, Illinois. The first screening will occur in the “Narrative Shorts: Farce” program on Saturday, February 19. The second screening will occur in the “Whimsy” program on Wednesday, February 23rd. Members of the cast and crew will be present.
You can learn more about the film on our official website.
Screening times and locations can be found on the festival’s website.
