I really want to see Killer Joe. How was that?
Also, hey Mike what do you play region 2 DVDs/import Blu-rays on?
August 7th, 2012 at 8:43 am
Killer Joe was killingly good – a nasty, funny, shocking black comedy about stupid people who do terrible things to each other. If you have any love at all for Billy Friedkin, I’d say it’s essential viewing.
I have a multi-region Blu-ray player that can play any Blu-ray or DVD from anywhere in the world. (It’s a hacked LG Blu-ray player that I bought from world-imports.com in Franklin Park.) Most computers, including all Macs, can play region 2 DVDs. You will have the option of changing the Region code setting as soon as you put a non-Region 1 DVD into the drive.

Yeah, i like Friedkin quite a bit. It definitely looks great.
And thanks very much, i’d been wondering about that a lot. There’s a ton of imports that are worth getting.

You’re right about the imports. In my opinion Masters of Cinema (in the U.K.) is the best home video label in the world – even better than Criterion. The stuff they put out is just incredible. For me, life without a multi-region Blu-ray player would be intolerable!

Yea, i’ve been looking at that series a lot especially. But thanks for helping out. I was curious of their Blu-ray of Two-Lane Black Top. Also, i just saw that they’re going to put out a Blu-ray edition of The Passion of Joan of Arc.
